We Love Us Some Winter

One of our favourite girls Sophia, the founder of Health and Beauty Bay asked us our daily skin care routines for the upcoming winter season and we just had to share our favorite methods.

Winter is upon us again. Which I have to admit is my favorite time of year. Holiday vibes, winter clothes, good food and just a merry spirit. Also, winter means to update your beauty care. Winter means dry skin. We all deal with winter skin issues. It is the worst. My skin starts flaking up and it's so noticeable.

Last year we gave you some tips on how to protect yourself with our winter tips. We are taking care of all parts of your skin this year! Well, here we are again.

Skin Care Routine

If you haven't figured it out; I am a huge fan of my skincare! I love to keep my skin look refresh and glowing.

Currently, I am a huge fan of facial sheet masks. I am love with these from Target and if I am trying to get fancy here is one of my favourites Charlotte Tilbury's Instant Magic Facial Dry Sheet Mask. Sheet masks are great for hydration in the cold winter months when your skin tends to get dry.

I love to add a soothing mist to my routine. My favourites are Glossier Soothing Face Mist and Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Cucumber and Green Tea. Moisturizer is critical to keep hydration in your face.

I love Kiehl's 24-hour moisturizer and Glossier Priming Moisturizer Rich. Also, make sure to add one of my favourite serums by of course Glossier to your routine depending on your skin needs. Wait, you also need SPF to your skincare in the winter. Glossier Invisible Shield is lightweight and perfect for winter.

Body care is critical in winter. We need to make sure our body is nourished. I invest in body brushes in the winter time to ensure. It keeps my skin looking fresh. The beauty benefits of body brush are great you can keep your skin hydrated and keep it firm! It takes care of the dry skin on your body that it endures in the cold months.

What my new go- to this winter for body washes for is the Glossier Body Duo! I love the Glossier Body Hero duo! The best match for body wash and lotion. The smell is dope, and it makes your skin feel smooth. You feel refresh, and your body will thank you!

Also, I love Nivea Skin Firming Hydration lotion to my routine. I use both of these two together for extra hydration for the winter.

Don't forget about your feet! I know its winter, and it's not summertime shine, but your feet are essential. I learned from my grandma to put vaseline (lifesaver) on my feet and wear my Christmas socks at night, and your feet will thank you!

Hair Care Routine

Hair is always crucial in the winter time! You have to keep your hair care up in the winter time even when you throw it in a bun!

Your scalp suffers also suffers in the winter time. For myself, it becomes flaky and extra unmanageable. I am currently in love with Bumble and Bumble Invisible Oil Shampoo and conditioner. It keeps my hair super moisturized, and my scalp feels terrific.

Also, I am a huge fan of a hair oil! I love to put Briogeo Don't Despair Repair on my hair before bed or before I go workout. I put this product on my hair once a week or even twice depending on how dry my hair feels.

I love to run it thru my hair and let the oils fix all the damage from the winter and overuse of heat. It's a little oily so make sure you protect your hair with a silk wrap or shirt after you put it on.

Another excellent hair mask I love to put on every Sunday morning is Drybar Mudslide. It makes your hair feel like silk! I love to put this hair mask on my hair before I clean my house. Once you wash it out, it's so easy to comb out my curls and style it for the rest of the week.

Final Thoughts

Make sure you take care of your skin with drinking plenty of water. I am love with Essentia ph water. Honestly, the good skin comes from water. Also, make sure to add Green Tea to your routine. It helps make your skin glows from the inside.
